This was our my third visit to London for the show in about 7 years. It's nice to have a chance to see all of the new bikes in one place, rather than visiting many different dealers, which is difficult where I live on the Costa Blanca in Spain.
This year's trip was tied in with a family trip to the UK which meant I would be visiting the show with my Dad who is very interested in a new cruiser from Indian or Harley. Whilst I am being drawn by the new BMW GS1200 Rallye.

It's been a while since we visited one of the larger European bike shows, so with that in mind a trip to Motorcycle Live 2014 was arranged. It would give me a chance to catch up with the latest developments in the industry as well as catch up with my brother who would meet me there.
Visiting Motorcycle Live, which is at the NEC near Birmingham, is a bit of a chore to get to from Spain as you can't simply fly in for the day and see the show and fly back, accommodation would have to be found. After a bit of web searching a nice pub was found in the small village of Hampton-In-Arden just a short, 4 minute train ride from the NEC.

The 2014 edition of Sobre2Ruedas in Alicante was smaller than in previous years but still managed to pack in a few new models namely the Yamaha MT-07, the new V-Strom 1000 range from Suzuki and the revised Z1000 from Kawasaki. The car park was packed on Saturday afternoon when we attended and had to park on the road outside and walk.

Originally intended for the 28th April and moved to the 26th of May at the last minute due to the weather, the organisers of the Matinal Motera in Alicante should be commended for putting on a great show.
Parking was straightforward, with plenty of space and easy access. Entry had been 8€ in advance but 10€ on the day is OK, especially considering we got commemorative T shirts shown right, a sausage sandwich and beer to cool us down.
