Senija to Pilar de Horadada by motorcycleWhat a day, first a ride down to Alicante for the Sobre2Ruedas show then on to the Moto Madness Rally in Pilar De La Horadada, to meet up with a couple of our Facebook group members, before the return journey home via the KTM dealer, Moto Sport Carreres, in Crevillent to check where they are in readiness for the Orange Days event in May.

The first part was down the N332 which is a little boring but needs must and its better than the motorway, initially the road is quite good with some nice corners between Benissa and Altea, then quite boring until you are past Villa Joiosa where it passes through some more hills.

The show at the Feria de Alicante went well with details in a separate article here.

After the hassle of getting myself back out of the car park at the feria, it was onwards to the Moto Madness Rally.  Having looked at the map briefly the previous day it appeared that the best route would be straight down the N332, through Santa Pola, Torrevieja and on to the event.  Unfortunately, I had not taken into account the number of roundabouts and the amount of traffic on a Saturday lunchtime.  I also missed the turn and did about a 20km loop (not shown on the map) extra, the least said about that the better.

Meeting up with Colin and Ian at the Moto Madness Rally went well and we sat shooting the breeze and listening to one of the bands for an hour and a half before parting ways as we all had a long way back home.  The rally itself looked well organised with more stalls than you usually see but as I arrived mid afternoon much of the entertainment was over, stunt show etc.  It turned out to be quite windy which was causing issues and people were starting to leave as I arrived, with better weather it would probably be a good event to spend a few hours at.

The journey back started up the AP-7 to get to Crevillent and the local KTM dealer Moto Sport Carreres, hopefully, next time I'm there I'll be trying a Duke 790 and 1290 Super Adventure S.

Moto Sport Carreras in Crevillent

From Crevillent I took the A-7 then N332 back the way I come down in the morning.  Racking up 307 km on the GSXR was the furthest it has been in a day for a long time.  The following day I had a few aches and pains, but it was a fun day out.
